Lila School of Bands is a contemporary music school in Auckland specialising in band coaching, songwriting, guitar lessons, singing lessons, and modern music education for young musicians.
Over the past five years, hundreds of young musicians across Auckland have taken part in Lila’s band programs, music lessons, holiday workshops, and school music initiatives.

Develop groove, timing and musical awareness. Our bass lessons focus on locking in with drums, understanding harmony and becoming a confident band player.
Ukelele
A great starting instrument for younger students. Ukulele lessons build rhythm, chord knowledge and musical confidence in a fun and accessible way.
Keyboard & Piano
Our keyboard lessons develop coordination, theory, chord knowledge and contemporary playing skills. Students learn how to play both as solo performers and within a band setting.
Singing
Our singing lessons focus on vocal technique, breath control, pitch accuracy and performance confidence. Students develop strong foundations while also working on songs they love.
Songwriting
For students wanting to create original music, our songwriting lessons cover structure, lyric writing, melody development and arrangement. Ideal for students preparing for Smokefree Rockquest or wanting to record original material.
